The Contact Committee of the Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) of the European Union and the European Court of Auditors meets regularly (generally once a year) to give its members the opportunity to discuss matters of common interest – focused around EU policy and financial management issues – and to agree, as needed, on joint activities when this can achieve greater impact.
This year’s meeting is the first physical meeting of the heads of EU SAIs since 2019, following the high-level Contact Committee online event held in November 2021. It will take place on 3-4 May 2022 at the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg and will be divided into two half-day sessions. The main session will focus on the strategic tasks and challenges for EU SAIs in assessing the (added) value of the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) at national and EU level. The in camera session will be dedicated to an exchange about the future cooperation at heads of SAIs’ and institutional level.
The SAIs of the EU candidate countries are invited to attend the main session as observers, together with representatives of SIGMA and the INTOSAI Development Initiative.
