​Den taskforce, som skulle undersøge mulighederne for samarbejde med Eurostat og de nationale statistikkontorer, blev oprettet i oktober 2011 og blev ledet af OR i Danmark og Polen i fællesskab. Taskforcens overordnede mål var at identificere områder, hvor OR, Eurostat og de nationale statistikkontorer kunne samarbejde, og at rådgive om konkrete tiltag. Taskforcen har bl.a. udarbejdet et spørgeskema for at indhente aktuelle oplysninger om forholdet mellem OR og de nationale statistikkontorer og oprettet kontakt til de nationale statistikkontorer for at drøfte et muligt samarbejde. På sit møde i København i juni 2012 drøftede taskforcen med deltagelse af repræsentanter for Eurostat og Danmarks Statistik resultaterne af spørgeskemaet samt retlige krav og mulige former for samarbejde. Taskforcen indberettede resultaterne af sit arbejde på mødet i Kontaktkomitéen i 2012. Med baggrundsrapporten og beslutningen om OR’s samarbejde med Eurostat og de nationale statistikkontorer (CC-R-2012-2) har taskforcen fuldendt sit arbejde.

    In October 2011, the Contact Committee of the Heads of EU SAIs set up a Task Force to explore the possibilities for cooperation with Eurostat and National Statistical Institutions (NSIs). The Task Force was established on the basis of the Contact Committee’s efforts to ensure efficient public auditing in response to the financial and economic crisis and highlighting the importance of reliable and timely information (including statistics) on the use of public funds. The Contact Committee asked the Task Force to report on the results of its work at the next CC meeting in 2012 (CC-R-2011-06)
