At its meeting in Riga on 19 June 2015, the Contact Committee of EU Supreme Audit Institutions set up, by resolution CC-R-2015-01, an expert network on the independent assessments contained in the reports submitted to national parliaments. The aim is to establish:
 
 
  • a framework for the financial analyses performed, at various levels of government, by a specific number of SAIs with similar procedures, highlighting the rules and methodology applied;
    •  
  • an exchange of best practices on the independent assessments performed by SAIs on public policies, as part of the circular process which starts with policy programming and ends with an analysis of the results obtained, in order to launch the subsequent programming period.
