We are continuing to make every effort to reduce the impact of the pandemic on our staff and minimise the risk to them and to their families. In light of recent developments, the decision of 13 September to allow a return to the office with a minimum of two days per week on-site was reduced to one day per week (monthly average) with effect as of 1 December 2021.
At the same time, we have done everything we can to continue providing an effective public audit service in the EU and delivering timely audit reports, opinions and reviews.
Where appropriate, we have re-scoped our ongoing tasks and adjusted our approach and timeline to take account of changing circumstances.
Our
work programme is also shaped by the unprecedented crisis we are facing. A quarter of all audit tasks we are starting in 2021 will deal with the EU’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the implementation of the ‘Next Generation EU’ (NGEU) initiativ
